What is missing
Street-level records are the ones crime maps, postcode checks and neighbourhood reports use: each crime with its month, category and approximate location. The known issues on data.police.uk say: "Currently no crime, outcome or stop and search data is available. The force is progressing towards a new IT system and data processes which will support provision of data to police.uk in the future." The data.police.uk changelog has listed each month Greater Manchester Police did not provide since March 2025.
So this site has no district pages, rankings or reports for the area until records are published again. Why forces stop publishing, and which have months missing.
What you can use instead
- Greater Manchester Police's own statistics and data page, which data.police.uk points to.
- The Office for National Statistics' Police Force Area data tables, with yearly police-recorded crime for each force area and its community safety partnerships. They count whole areas over a year, not streets.
To hear when records return, sign up below with a postcode district in the area, such as BL1. We send nothing until police publish records for that district, then one email a month.
